Curriculum vitae

Nelleke Belo completed her Teacher Training in 2001. From 2001 to 2005, she worked as a teacher at a Primary School, teaching children in the age of 10-12 years. In the evening hours, she studied Educational Sciences (BA) and graduated in 2007. In 2005, Nelleke Belo got access to a one-year Pre-Master Educational Sciences at Free University Amsterdam and she completed her Masters, with a specialization in the philosophy of education, in 2007. Furthermore, from 2006 to 2007, she was appointed as a student assistant at the Department of Methodology of the same university being occupied in supervising university students during practical and computer sessions of courses methodology and statistics. In 2007, Nelleke Belo started as a PhD candidate at ICLON Leiden University Graduate School of Teaching.

Research

Nelleke Belo is involved in the PhD project Physics teachers' beliefs and practice about making physics engaging and comprehensible for secondary students.
